About Victor:

Stanford Jazz Festival 2024 All-Star Jam

Victor Lin, Ed. D., is a Taiwanese American musician and educator from Seattle who is based in New York City. Equally fluent as both a jazz pianist as well as a jazz violinist, he is on the faculty of the Music Department at Columbia University and has been a mainstay of The Stanford Jazz Workshop since 1997. He was the founder and director of the jazz program at The Calhoun School in NYC, where he was able to use his research on jazz education and experience to build the largest jazz program of its kind in the city over the course of the 21 years he taught there.
